The flooring crew were still working away when I got to the house today so I was able to sneak in and get a good look around. The flooring looks great. It really does make the house feel homely. Very happy with the quality of everything too.

The slab for the rain water tank was also poured. We will be getting a 5,000 liter tank which is plumbed to the toilets and connected for garden watering.
We should be very close to our first inspection now. Our site supervisor mentioned he'll know more by Monday and should be able to book in the inspection date. Can hardly wait!
I suppose you moved in soon after this close-to-finish update. The house looks amazing, and I guess it only looked more incredible once all the furniture were in place. Congratulations on successfully wrapping up the construction of your first home. Cheers!

Thanks Oliver, The wife and I really do love the house. We are actually still buying furniture to replace what we currently have so it all suits the house better.
DeleteI'll have to do a new post soon with more photo's of how the house is looking. It's been almost a year now and I still go through the house feeling amazed at how nice it is.
